Did You Know?

As we grow older we breathe less fully
Some people only use one third of their lung capacity
Shallow breathing is a contributory factor to disorientation, loss of memory and vitality
The brain requires three times as much oxygen as the rest of the body’s tissue cells
Inadequate oxygen supply will impair organ function
Restricted breathing is linked to depression and anxiety.
Change your breath and you can change your mind

The breath is intimately connected to the mind. If the breath is agitated, so is the mind. Therefore to quiet the mind in order to focus its’ attention, we must first learn to regulate the breath. Breathing is the key to yoga, once mastered it can help with asthma, anxiety, improve athletic performance, sleep and life!
